About us

The Canada Alliance for Myanmar (CAFM) is an organization formulated by a group of like-minded individuals across Canada interested in advancing human rights, democracy, and international development in Myanmar.

Current Projects

Currently, we are working on a variety of causes.

Firstly, we are fundraising and collecting donations to send to humanitarian organizations amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Secondly, we are sending funds to the National Unity Government (NUG) in Myanmar to support the functioning of this newly formed democratic government. Our goal is to promote the recognition of the NUG in Canada and in the broader international community and bring democratic power back to Myanmar.

Finally, we are working on developing further advocacy to the broader Canadian public and towards the Canadian government to act in support of the people of Myanmar and against the illegal coup.
